I didn’t even need to think about this one. My honest answer is that I’d donate to Planned Parenthood.

I’m in Maryland but IN GENERAL Planned Parenthood is about to be the single largest, and most accessible, provider of informed consent HRT and treatment for trans people anywhere in the United States.

Access to care is SO important for trans folks. Not having access leads folks to DIY their own treatment often using dangerous and misleading information to guide themselves.

I know that in 2020 every Planned Parenthood in Maryland will offer informed consent treatment to transgender people. I’m not sure what the timeline is for that rollout nationwide.

Another great charity that does important work is the Transgender Law Center. If you want to aim at a place local to me, consider donating to Hagerstown Hopes as I’m on the leadership committee for the trans group there.
